I don't see Trump as a "peacemaker" exactly but if that's anything like a deal-maker, peace in our time is assured. And, of course, NATO is no beast with circling claws. More like a big cuddly bear, really. No, that's the Russians.
Facile sarcasm aside, I find that Lord Skidelsky makes a number of reasonable points and points towards Reason. His views and the manner in which they are expressed are quite out of sync with our Age of Unreason.
This is excellent... If only Starmer could spare a bit of time from watching Taylor Swift and Arsenal to read Skidelsky or merely watch a couple of Mearsheimer and/or Jeffrey Sachs videos we might be spared WW3
sidelsky is putting a lot of faith in trump... i am not sure that it is warranted... we'll have to wait and see, but i think we are already seeing how the biden admin, (or is it the deep state?) undermining him before inauguration, just as obama did prior to 2016... we'll see..
Sidelsky’s argument is rendered moot with a single sentence: “We do not recognise Putin’s view of NATO as a beast with encircling claws”.
