As always, Compact article is behind the pay wall, which is really annoying….anyway…..my question is, and I do agree with you RE transfer more power to Brussels, why are Slovaks on the street so eager to follow the EU impositions of all and sundry rules in their lives? I just cannot understand this.

Indeed it is impossible to pay for 10 or 20 monthly subscriptions, who all deserve funding. Hence, the author needs to decide whether his priority is to get the information to the broader public or not. This is the dilemma of independent journalism.

Simple, they are organized and financed by EU covert operations or Nato or the very expert CIA ones that btw, use a group (they even have site to promote subversion...) in Europe that originally worked to subvert Yugoslavia in the '90s.

Same as they did in Ukraine in 2014, in Georgia, in Romania and all the former Soviet Republics.

And it is what they just started in Serbia too.

USA/UK have been always backing Nazifascist Government either in Europe or South America since the beginning of the last century!

It's partly calculation on the part of vdL and the EU Commission.

But hollow people like them are much affected by fashions and moods, and militarism has suddenly become fashionable again, perhaps because of Europe's dire economic position.

Hence the laughable spectacle of Starmer, Macron and like-thinking commentators blowing their bugles, even though none of them will be going to war themselves.

To be honest I doubt the European body politic has the balls to substantively militarize. On a cultural and psychological level i do not think the juice is there no matter how much elite hysteria ensues.

you forget they got completely the media and Socials... it's called Propaganda.

And as Putin said in the famous Tucker interview few months after the beginning of the war "we cannot compete with the power of USA/NATO propaganda machine, it will take a lot of time and money to do that..."

Propaganda only works for awhile, after awhile the Truth comes out The more desperate our elites become, the more egregious the lies and manipulations become. They are digging their own graves. The system cannot last.

It's really not my problem what happens to the EU and its members. But if a member does not like the direction Brussels is dictating to them well get the hell out. Do what the Brits did...get control of your own destiny not Brussels.

Refuse Fascism

Oppose Oppression

The creation of an EU super state outlined in 2016:

"A strong Europe in a world of uncertainties" by Jean-Marc Ayrault and Frank-Walter Steinmeier

This 2016 joined publication by the German and French ministry of foreign affairs argues for **centralized governance at a supranational level** in several key sectors, emphasizing the necessity of collective action to address shared challenges.

### Sectors Proposed for Centralization

1. **Security and Defense**:

- **Proposals**:

- A **European Security Compact** integrating defense, intelligence, and crisis management.

- Permanent structured cooperation in defense, EU-owned military capabilities, and a European Security Council.

- Harmonized intelligence-sharing platforms and a European public prosecutor’s office (expanded to counter terrorism and organized crime).

I simply can't afford to pay every time I want to obtain some other writers' "wisdom". Shame, that I have to stop at the paywall.
