Brilliant stack, thank you. I am constantly bewildered, frustrated, disappointed and now, as so much time has gone by, disgusted by so many peoples non reactions, apart from fear, to two of humanities greatest catastrophes, the giant con of covid accompanied with the insane jabbing frenzy and the living nightmare of the destruction of Palestine. God help us.

A huge number of people do have moral courage, hence the protests.

Our rulers are owned by Zionism and they do not want to hear.

At the end of this carnage how will EVERYONE feel for allowing this genocide to happen......and Israel will become a pariah throughout the world.

Thank you for your insightful to balanced article. It brings me to the following questions: what can people do to create more courage in themselves and in other people? And why is it that so many people lacking a basic courage? My idea is that it is all connected with spirituality, with the feeling or insight that humans are spiritual beings and that there is more to live for than for the life of a consumer.

Didn't it used to be called 'moral cowardice'? Seems to me there's a generalized degeneracy in the West in terms of both morality and courage, not to mention decency, honesty, intelligence... And that this development got its boost from a series of psychic epidemics starting with the false pandemic and followed by the wars in Ukraine and Gaza et al, nudged on all along by 'Climate', which have broken down populations' resistance (never strong) to all sorts of absurdities and moral contradictions.

A minor point: Australia may be firmly rooted politically in the camp of "the North" but geographically speaking in the south. (Of course, one might say that it is simply "rooted", as in the Australian slang sense of the word.)

The strength of capitalism is those lower down the ladder are invested in maintaining it, fearing that the 1%$ at the top will take them down as the structure collapsed from the weight of their horded spoils.

As the new version of thhgttg says on the front cover DO NOT MORAL PANIC 👍
