A formal conclusion to the war in Ukraine won’t be the end of the violence: what lies ahead is a long-term structural alliance between ultra-nationalist Ukrainian forces and European militarism
The so-callled "nationalists" are basically a nazi death cult that would be very happy to spark WW III and the death of everyone on the planet. This for them would be preferable to living in peace alongside other people.
It's not a suprise they are allied with the other cult that is aiming to spark WW III in the middle east.
There isnt going to be peace on this planet until these kind of lunatics are disarmed and forced into confinement in mental institutions and/or prisons.
Remember what happened during the Russian civil war after the 1917 revolutions: ultranationalist militias armed by the west slaughtered civilians to the cry of"Death to the Bolsheviks and the Jews". That's what gave 80% of porgroms calsualties before WWII being made in Ukraine.
WWII, the same banderite militias slaugthered a million souls, whereof 800 000 Jews.
Fast forward to 1945: the West - that is the US, the UK and Germany - armed and equipped banderite that went on waging a guerilla that stopped in 1953 only.
Unless we root out permanently those ultranationalists, it will go on...
this Nazi-Banderite terrorist guerrilla sabotage war that USSR fought against after the WWII (and also before 1941, as Hitler trained and prepared terror gangs out of Ukrainian fascists, to perpetrate horrific sabotage acts, such as ensuring famine) is being used to make a claim that Stalin was a bloody dictator and USSR was totalitarian.
The prospects outline in the article pretty much coincide with my own assessment.
The EU, if represented by its current leadership or likeminded leaders, which is quite likely considering the degree of degeneration in Western European countries, won't abandon its animosity toward Russia - they need an external enemy (red herring), they need people to rally around the flag, they need Russia's resources, they absolutely cannot admit defeat.
The EU, however, is not a monolith, and the population is not as completely fucked up as it may seem. The situation is the worst in urban centers, but the more rural and the more eastward you go, the more people are sensible. I'm especially hopeful of the former Second World (Communist Bloc) countries, whose populations are much less degenerated than their Western counterparts, Hungary and Slovakia being a case in point. Perhaps the new Czech government as well. With any luck, they'll be able to break free from the EU's self-destructive madness and set a course for a meaningful existence and influence the EU's more western parts at the same time, possibly with help from the US.
what is it about Russia's past that makes the EU conglomerate and non EU contries in the West so stead fast in their mistrust and ethorascist fear toward the Russian empire. I see a win win if they make nice to each other....why don't europeans see that.
As far as I can tell you, by living under hardship caused by (in my view) similar causes, West hates Russia (not just the state/leaders but even the regular people themselves(!!!) due resistance to give up national identity in order to accept colonial (in5 19th and early 20th century) or globalist neocon dictated rules in later decades. Let's not forget vast resources and land area - very desirable prizes. Plus there's was socialism/communism as greatest of boogeymans for capitalist west. And to top it all of - Slavic roots, religion that's declared adversary by Roman Catholic church after the great schism (and was modus operandi for centuries, all the way to late 70s of 20th century) gave all the fuel to eugenic chauvinists for blind hatred towards Russia (although, I must admit that such intellectuals were kept under tight wrap in Europe/West to avoid unnecessary tensions during cold war. Yet, they did manage to exercise some measure of constant influence on official western politics, especially in Europe).
Now, Russia - of course - didn't just idly suffer all this pressure. They used many means to fight back - mostly economic correction and counterintelligence black ops. But when needed, Russians fought and fought bloodily - washing skirmishes with neighbouring nations and defeating invaders every time. That as well left bitter taste of resentment, but I personally believe that's just a small part of it all.
All this is just a general overview and a very VERY short answer to question why West, and core Europe nations especially (UK, FRA, GER, NETH, SWE), seem to hate Russia and Russian people with a passion.

I'm afraid you are right. My post on current drums of war.

How would you oppose them head on?
