We are witnessing the rise of the European technocrats - in the tradition of Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, and other such degenerates - far-right ethnonationalists whose only interest in repairing broken ties with Russia is to secure cheap energy once again (to power their data centres, etc.) and not because they oppose the conflict on legal or moral grounds.
How anyone could see the rise of this "party" as a positive is beyond me. Certainly a case of "meet the new boss, same as the old boss". The AfD will be about as successful as the second Trump regime.
Indeed, EU and its bad habits are the main issue. It became normal this sort of defence of democracy, people appear kind of sedate, and we keep going toward a possible war. If they manage to silence even afd and its impressive number of voters, we should be seriously worried.
I've looked everywhere and found no evidence that Weidl would not end Germany's support for Ukraine. She and her party are solidly pro Russia and want to restore trade ties and reopen the Nordstream pipeline that the U.S. blew up. Again, tell me what the "indications" are that you cite. I'm just not seeing them.

Like the german Greens were a generation or two back, the AfD will be given a choice:
either be banned or accept American hegemony in general and The War On Russia in particular.
We know how the Greens chose. All indications are that AfD will do the same.
