Realism invites us to look for root causes — and from this perspective it is apparent that Israel’s occupation regime is at the root of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
You are absolutely correct on the Ukraine. I’d take it one further, the U.S. dared Russia to defend itself from an ever expanding NATO.
As for Israel you are wrong. Intersectionally;). Islamism is the issue. You are either afraid or not seeing it for what it is. Supremacist, intolerant, fundamental, violent. That is what drives Hamas and Palestinians. Sad.
You clearly have a pretty poor knowledge of the conflict, otherwise you'd know that throughout most of its history the Palestinian resistance has been secular. As for "supremacist, intolerant, fundamental[ist], violent", that's an apt description of the Israeli state.
Now now, I know that too. Yasser Arafat the billionaire socialist of Fatah. He wanted a two state solution until he didn’t. Can’t imagine the Brotherhood didn’t have a say in that.
The last chapter, starting with Hamas leadership in Palestine has taken the veil off of the cause. That cause has driven conflict and Jewish migration across the Middle East now for years. Do you think for one minute the Palestinians and Hamas are open to a peaceful two state solution?
Of course they are and have been for years. They're not dumb, they understand they have no chance of beating Israel militarily. Unfortunately Israel has never been truly interested in a two-state solution.

Maybe. I doubt either does. Not good.
